Why is heat treating required?

If you are exporting goods to another country on pallets or in crates, chances are you will require our heat treating services. Many countries in the world (more than 120 countries!) require heat treating and one or two further conditions. We can advise you about a specific country, and we can provide you with the right heat treatment for your shipment.

What is heat treating?

Heat treatment is the process in which a commodity is heated until it reaches a minimum temperature for a minimum period of time, according to an officially recognized technical specification [ISPM pub. Nov. 15, 2002]. That minimum temperature is 56 degrees Celsius measured at the core of the wood for a minimum time of 30 minutes.
